Knesset Committee to Discuss Gaza Jews

(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset’s State Control Committee will meet on Monday to discuss the plight of Jews who were expelled from their homes in Gaza during the 2005 “Disengagement,” 28 months ago.  The committee will focus on psychological and physical problems caused by the government’s treatment of the expellees.  The discussion will be based on new data collected by welfare organizations.

According to organizations dedicated to helping the former residents of Gaza, there has been an increase in the number of families seeking financial help in order to buy basic goods as well as an increase in the number of individuals suffering from illness.  The organizations also warned that many of the expellees suffer feelings of pressure, sadness, frustration, and depression.
