Two ophthalmologists from the Wolfson Medical Center, Dr. Michael Paul and Dr. Alexander Weinstock, have restored sight to 61 residents of the Ivory Coast.  The two doctors worked with dozens of patients as part of a Foreign Ministry program for international cooperation.

The two treated cataract patients, most of them elderly.  They managed to save the eyesight of dozens through surgery, even in some cases where the patient’s eyes had been damaged by traditional remedies.
