Two incidences of anti-Semitic vandalism have kicked off 2008. On Tuesday, two swastikas were discovered painted on a home in Borough Park, the Brooklyn neighborhood with the highest concentration of Holocaust survivors in New York.
On Wednesday, a large swastika was found painted on the door of a Brooklyn senior center and synagogue, along with an anti-Semitic phrase.
NY State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, the son of a Holocaust survivor who represents Borough Park, said it is amazing that people are still painting swastikas 60 years after the Holocaust.
