According to a poll conducted by Near East Consulting, support for Fatah is dropping among Palestinian Authority Arabs.  Thirty-nine percent of the 959 Arabs polled said they support Fatah, while 16 percent support Hamas.  In November, 46 percent expressed support for Fatah and only 13 percent said they supported Hamas.

Forty-one percent said they did not support either group, as opposed to 32 percent who supported neither in November.  Near East Consulting head Jamil Rabah suggested that recent armed clashes between Fatah and Hamas, IDF strikes against Hamas terrorists, and the Fatah-led PA’s failure to improve living conditions could explain the latest poll results.
