Six-year-old Aharon Gonzales died last week of injuries sustained in a fire that broke out in his family’s home in Maaleh Adumim. Doctors were unable to save young Aharon despite treatment in a pressurized chamber meant to hasten tissue rejuvenation. Aharon’s younger brother, three-year-old Elazar, managed to survive serious injuries sustained due to smoke inhalation, and has already returned home from the hospital.
Aharon’s parents, immigrants from Venezuela, agreed to donate his organs. His liver was given to a 10-year-old boy from the town of Yeroham, and his kidneys were donated to two adults.
