Yesha Council head Danny Dayan has called on President Shimon Peres to cancel his participation in a conference sponsored by the Geneva Initiative, a group of non-elected officials seeking to implement a "land-for-peace" accord with local Arabs.
 
Israel's presidency is supposed to be a non-political office, and Dayan said Peres's participation in the conference would link the office to the far-left.
