Prime Minister Ehud Olmert met with Jordan’s King Abdullah in Jordan on Thursday and promised that he would not allow Jews to build new towns in Judea and Samaria. In addition, he said, Israel will not add new land to existing towns.
Land of Israel activists have decided to respond to Olmert’s plan to turn Judea and Samaria over to the PA by building several new communities throughout the area. While the communities have been violently uprooted on several occasions, there are now permanent structures and several residents in many of the planned towns.
