An Egyptian Bedouin man was shot and killed on the Egyptian border with Israel on Thursday morning.  One witness said the man was shot by Israeli border guards.

Israeli officials said they could not confirm the cause of the man’s death.  The man may have been hit and killed by a bullet fired from the Egyptian side of the border, they said.
