Investigators believe they have found preliminary signs of the H5 strain of bird flu in dead chickens at a kindergarten petting zoo in the northern town of Binyamina, according to the Agriculture Ministry. All the fowl are being culled from the kindergarten's cage, and investigators are conducting checks within a 10-kilometer radius of the discovery site.

The birds which contracted the virus in Binyamina have been put to sleep.
