Olmert, Bush, and Abbas Will Hold Summit in Jerusalem (IsraelNN.com) During US President George W. Bush's visit to Israel starting next week, Bush, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and PA head Mahmoud Abbas will convene a three-way summit in Jerusalem. Issues to be addressed will include the future borders of a possible PA Arab state, the status of PA Arabs and Arabs who left Israel in 1948, and the possession of Jerusalem. Olmert will also brief Bush on his cooperation in freezing all construction in Judea and Samaria. The two will also discuss Iran's nuclear progress. Bush will visit Israel and Arab-controlled areas of Judea and Samaria on Wednesday and Thursday as part of his greater 9-day tour around the Middle East. The meeting between the three politicians is expected to take place in a 'neutral' location – not in the Prime Minister's residence, but possibly in the American Consulate in the eastern section of Israel's capital city. ![]() © A7 Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
