Rescue forces are searching for eight missing hikers near Masada.  The group went hiking on Monday and did not return by sunset.

The hikers were reportedly planning to rappel in Nahal Tzeelim.  According to Army Radio, one hiker sent a message to his family after the group went missing telling them that everyone was fine.
