(IsraelNN.com) IDF officials retracted an earlier statement and announced on Monday evening that IDF soldiers were responsible for the death of an Arab woman in Gaza overnight on Sunday.  The woman was shot and killed during a riot near the Erez crossing.  At least one other Gaza Arab was wounded.

Officials said that the woman was part of a group of Arabs who had approached an IDF position and refused to step back.  Soldiers fired in order to frighten the group away, they said.  The incident is still under investigation.
