The annual report, "Holocaust Denial: A Global Survey - 2007," published by the Washington-based David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies, reveals that Holocaust-denial has increased worldwide, following a lull in 2006 following the imprisonment of notorious Holocaust-denier David Irving in Austria.
Irving was released this year, and has renewed public speaking engagements.
The director of the Wyman Institute, Dr. Rafael Medoff, says that strict governmental policies against Holocaust denial succeed in decreasing levels of denial, while governments that maintain lenient policies have the opposite effect.
