The population in the State of Israel stood at 7.241 million citizens by December 2007, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.

Of those, 75 percent are Jewish, 20 percent are Arab and 4 percent are members of other religions and/or are unaffiliated. The population figures include 18,000 new immigrants and 149,000 newborn citizens.
