Study: Nahal Hareidi Soldiers Overwhelmingly Employed

A survey conducted among alumnae of the Netzach Yehuda Nahal Hareidi military unit revealed that over 90 percent are currently employed. The independent survey stands in contrast to a November Van Leer Center study noting that among hareidi citizens not having served in the IDF, approximately 40 percent are employed.

Nahal Hareidi, a religiously strict battalion of the Kfir Brigade based in the Jordan Valley, contains three companies and an elite counter-terror squad.  It was founded eight years ago with a single company. The soldiers of Netzach Yehuda man checkpoints, patrol the Jordanian border and conduct arrest raids in nearby Arab centers.
