(IsraelNN.com) According to Maan, senior Fatah terrorists warned Tuesday that the splinter terrorist sect Fatah al-Islam had infiltrated Gaza and was conducting operations in the area.  The group recently claimed responsibility for firing a rocket at Sderot.

Fatah leaders said the group’s presence was a dangerous development, pointing to the weeks-long battle between Fatah al-Islam and the Lebanese army in northern Lebanon earlier in the year.  The battle left several hundred dead and tens of thousands displaced from their homes.  Fatah blamed Hamas for the presence of Fatah al-Islam in Gaza, saying the Hamas takeover of Gaza created “utter confusion.”
