The Home Front Command will be distributing to the Israeli public a how-to-build-a-safe-room pamphlet, starting Sunday morning, in a campaign it said is simply part of the implementation of lessons learned from the 2006 Second Lebanon War. The IDF emphasized there is no sign of an impending war.
According to a report broadcast on IDF Army Radio, the pamphlets, which are available in five languages, explain how to prepare for missile attacks. The pamphlet gives instructions on which room in an apartment or single-family home to use for a shelter and how to equip the room to protect its occupants from a chemical or biological attack.
