Eritreans in Ketziot Refuse to Eat Reported: 17:20 PM - Dec/20/07
(IsraelNN.com) Approximately 450 Eritrean citizens who illegally entered Israel from Egypt in recent months are refusing to eat. The Eritreans, who are currently staying in a Prison Services complex next to the Ketziot prison, are protesting the failure to find a solution for their predicament.
Israeli authorities announced several weeks ago that while hundreds of Sudanese refugees will be allowed to stay in the country and granted residency, thousands of illegal entrants from other African nations will be forced to return to Egypt. However, the government’s decision has not yet been implemented due to concerns over Egypt’s human rights violations, including the alleged arrest, torture, and murder of African refugees. ![]() Check out the Chill Zone - Funny, Entertaining Videos © IsraelNN Syndications - This article may not be republished freely.
