A moderate earthquake that registered 5.7 on the Richter scale rumbled the capital city of Turkey on Thursday, shaking up residents who were celebrating the Muslim Eid al-Adha holiday.

Buildings swayed and breakables fell in homes throughout Ankara, but no serious damage or injuries were reported.
