Report: Shaarei Tzedek Most Crowded Hospital

(IsraelNN.com) A Health Ministry report published on Thursday found that Shaarei Tzedek hospital in Jerusalem was the most crowded of Israel’s hospitals in 2006.  The average number of patients per 100 beds was 128, the study found.

The crowding was focused in a handful of wards, the study found, including the cardiology ward and geriatric ward.  Those wards had an average of 170 to 190 patients to 100 beds throughout the year.
