(IsraelNN.com) The Islamic Jihad terrorist group vowed to avenge the deaths of 13 of its operatives, a number of whom were top field commanders in the organization, in IAF air strikes in Gaza. Terrorists were also ordered to turn off their cell phones, remove the batteries and stay out of their cars in order to avoid tracking by the IDF.

The IAF raids carried out Monday and Tuesday came in response to intensified mortar and Kassam rocket attacks fired from Gaza at communities in the western Negev. A 2-year-old toddler was injured and his pregnant mother and several other people were treated for shock at Barzilai Hospital when one of the rockets hit a house in Kibbutz Zikkim.

An Islamic Jihad terrorist shouted "Blood for blood and bombardment for bombardment" at a funeral for one of the dead terrorists Tuesday. The terrorist funeral promptly became the scene of another killing, this one at the hands of one of the mourners who fired into the air, hitting a live power line which swung into the crowd, leaving one dead and at least seven injured.
