(IsraelNN.com) Israel's Health Ministry has warned those who take the prescription blood thinner Plavix that an unknown amount of counterfeit pills have been smuggled into Israel from the Palestinian Authority.

They have so far intercepted one carton of the fake Plavix, labelled batch number 1476, production date  January 05 and expirarion date January 08. It was shown in lab tests to be without its active ingredient.

It is assumed, but not certain, that other fakes share the same batch numbers and dates. Patients and pharmacists alike are being warned to be careful.
