The Knesset lobby for former residents of Gush Katif will hold an emergency meeting Tuesday to discuss the harsh living conditions of those expelled from their homes in Gaza and northern Samaria due to the 2005 Disengagement.
A report will be presented by representatives of the communities updating the lobby on the condition of the communities 28 months after the eviction.
One of the statistics to be presented is that 85 percent of the families still live in temporary housing. The caravan sites were built to last two years, but it is now clear that they will be used from six to eight years. Also, 1,260 of 3,500 workers are still unemployed.
