(IsraelNN.com) MK Ibrahim Sarsur (Ra’am Ta’al) spoke in the Knesset on Tuesday about a recent Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI) report that showed that a majority of Israeli Jews wish to separate themselves from the Arab population.  According to the report, many Jewish high school students believed Arabs to be violent and unhygienic.

“Everyone knows that we, as Arab Muslims, wash our bodies, including our private parts, five times a day,” Sarsur said.  “I don’t know who is cleaner, those who bathe five times a day or those who don’t.”  He called on the government to “drastically change its policy towards the Arab population in the state of Israel.”

Several Members of Knesset have expressed concern over the results of the ACRI report, while others have said that the growing dislike of Israeli Arabs stems from Arab behavior, including racist attacks on Jews.
