The school year for high school students might last until the end of June, according to a source in the Education Ministry, in order to compensate for the number of days lost during the strike by the Secondary School Teachers' Association.
Education Minister Yuli Tamir said Tuesday morning "I am cautiously optimistic," and that the previous night's marathon meeting between government officials and the head of the teachers' union was "one of our most productive meetings so far."
