A man climbed onto the roof of a building in Paris on Monday during a conference on Israeli politics and security that included former IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Yaalon. The man threatened to jump to his death if Yaalon did not leave the building.
According to preliminary reports, the man was a Palestinian Authority Arab who also demanded the release of terrorist prisoners. The man eventually agreed to come down from the roof.
Yaalon, Likud head Binyamin Netanyahu, retired Major-General Yaakov Amidror, and Palestinian Media Watch head Itamar Marcus were among those invited to the conference, which was organized by the “Israel-France” group. The conference, which focused on Israel’s problems with the Palestinian Authority, was held as planned.
