Israel's top cop, Lt.-Gen. Dudi Cohen, reviewed crime statistics at the cabinet meeting Sunday.

Cohen said there was less crime in all major categories. Property crimes are down 10.7 percent, 9.6 percent fewer burglaries, 7.4 percent fewer car thefts, 8.2 fewer physical assaults, 18 percent fewer murders and 8 percent fewer road accidents.
