Olmert: Israel Will Expose Iranian Nuclear Program

(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Sunday that Israeli officials would continue to assume that Iran has a nuclear weapons program, and would continue to work with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to expose the program.  “Israel has no reason to change the assessments it has all along that Iran is continuing to pursue nuclear weapons,” he said.

A recent United States intelligence report claimed that Iran froze its nuclear weapons program in 2003.  The report warned that Iran would still be capable of creating a nuclear weapon in the near future due to its programs to enrich uranium.  Israeli intelligence officials rejected the report, saying their sources still indicate that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons.
