Rome officials greeted its Jewish citizens and visitors with a Buon Chanukà (Happy Chanukah) by plastering the slogan on 500 billboards throughout the city. The billboard encourages people to attend the Chabad Lubavitch public lighting of the menorah.

"The city is celebrating Chabad’s 20 years of lighting the menorah in the piazza,” said Rabbi Yitzchak Hazan, director of Chabad in Rome. "They appreciate the menorah and the message of Chanukah. It [previously] was unheard of for Italian Jews to bring their Judaism out in the streets."
