      Mofaz, Netanyahu for United Jerusalem


      Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz spoke at a Kadima party candle lighting ceremony on Thursday, saying, “Jerusalem must remain united as the capital of Israel for all time.”  He warned against discussed “core issues” such as the status of Jerusalem before the Palestinian Authority is capable of controlling Arab cities in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. 

      Opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu spoke at a One Jerusalem event on Thursday, saying, “The people of Israel did not give its soldiers so that this government could give up Jerusalem.  We will not let that happen.”  Netanyahu echoed a famous announcement made in the Six-Day War, saying, “The Temple Mount is in our hands, and will stay in our hands.”
