Doctors: Next 48 Hours Critical for Rabbi Levinger

Doctors reported Thursday evening that Rabbi Moshe Levinger of Hevron was in intensive care following a several-hour brain operation to remove a blood clot. The next 48 hours are critical, they said.

Rabbi Levinger, among the pioneers of the renewal of Jewish life in Judea and Samaria, was taken to the hospital on Thursday morning after suffering a stroke in his home. His family is asking the public to pray for Rabbi Moshe ben Tirza HaLevi.
