IDF sources said Thursday that 380 non-Jewish soldiers had converted to Judaism via the Netiv program since last Rosh Hashanah, which began the Hebrew year 5768.  9,000 Jewish and non-Jewish soldiers have taken the Netiv course on Judaism since it was first offered, and 2,300 decided to convert.

Sources said that more than 75 percent of those who convert through Netiv are women.  Netiv expects more than 300 more soldiers to convert with the program by next Rosh Hashanah.
