(IsraelNN.com) The police are to announce Thursday afternoon its recommendations on whether Prime Minister Ehud Olmert should be charged for wrongdoing in the government tender on the sale of its shares of Bank Leumi. The Prime Minister allegedly used his former position as Finance Minister to change terms of the tender to help two business friends buy the shares. The two men eventually dropped out of the bidding.

The police had scheduled to announce its recommendation on Sunday but acceded to political pressure not to do so while he was en route to the Annapolis conference.
