Israel’s Credit Rating up to A

International credit rating agency Standard and Poor has decided to raise Israel’s credit rating to A.  Israel’s former rating was A-.

The change in status came shortly after Standard and Poor representatives visited Israel and were given information on the economy.  The representatives met with senior Finance Ministry officials and with Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer.
