Finance Ministry officials and representatives of the Secondary School Teachers Association are to submit documents to the National Labor Court on Wednesday. The two sides will explain why negotiations have failed to result in an agreement since the teachers association went on strike over 40 days ago.
It is not clear whether Finance Ministry officials plan to ask the court to order the teachers to return to work. Many teachers say they will refuse a court order to return to work, and hundreds say they are prepared to quit their jobs if necessary.
