American millionaire Ronald Lauder is joining Israeli leaders, American Congressmen and others in their support of former minister Natan Sharansky's campaign against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's plan to divide Jerusalem. The Prime Minister, when he was mayor of the city almost a decade ago, led a similar initiative.
The campaign includes raising public awareness by distribution of half a million gold ribbons to be displayed on vehicles throughout Israel.
