(IsraelNN.com) Hamas spokesmen slammed the Arab League over the weekend after the league agreed to send a delegation to the Annapolis conference.  The Arab League’s announcement was “a great shock” and “a betrayal of the Palestinian people,” they said.

Hamas opposes the conference, claiming that Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas does not represent the Arab public.  Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other groups plan to convene in Gaza to protest the conference.  In their response to the Arab League statement, Hamas terrorists threatened to increase their deadly attacks against Israeli civilians living near Gaza.
