The Arab League agreed on Friday that a committee comprised of several of its member nations would attend the upcoming Annapolis conference.  The committee will include representatives from Lebanon, Jordan, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Sudan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Syria.

While Syria is part of the Arab League committee for dealing with negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority, Syrian officials have not said that they will attend the conference.  Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Moallem said he would not attend unless the agenda included negotiations over Israel’s strategic Golan region.
