A national organization of parents of schoolchildren has threatened to call a strike if negotiations between the Finance Ministry and the Secondary School Teachers Association do not lead to an agreement by the end of Chanukah.  The parents say they will call for the entire school system to go on strike. 

“Our support for the teachers’ just struggle is just the beginning of our struggle to create a new set of national priorities, where education is the first priority,” representatives said.
