A veteran crime reporter has leaked hints regarding a major scandal that he claims is about to shake police ranks and force the Chief of Police to resign. Buki Naeh, Yediot Aharonot's senior crime reporter, broke a court gag order Wednesday morning and mentioned the scandal's existence on a radio show.
"In the coming days, it will turn out that the largest crime gang in Israel is operating within police ranks and the Chief of Police will have no choice but to go home," Naeh said. He added: "The public will find out about something terrible that is happening in the police… Everything that has been published about bad things that happened in the police will pale in comparison to what is going to come out in the next few days."
Other police reporters were said to be upset with Naeh, who they say is trying to capitalize on another reporter's investigative success.
