The cabinet voted to approve a proposed set of benefits for reserves soldiers on Monday.  The benefits include tax breaks, utilities benefits, and academic discounts. 

Defense Minister Ehud Barak pulled the bill twice before after clashing with officials in the Finance Ministry over the proposed tax breaks.  The extent of the tax breaks has yet to be decided, and will be worked out by the two ministries.
