Cities in northern Israel were hit by a hailstorm on Monday evening. The hail fell for around 20 minutes, covering many northern towns in a layer of white ice. The hail was accompanied by rain, and weather forecasters expect more rain on Monday night.
Moshav Gaia in the south was hit by a severe storm on Monday. Strong winds caused damage to several local buildings, and at least one person was injured. Eyewitnesses said that trees were uprooted by the strong winds and two refrigerators were lifted several meters into the air.
