Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann hinted Sunday that his legislative reforms of the judicial system are encountering political opposition. In an interview on IDF Radio, he spoke of attempts to silence him through the use of threats and insults.
Regarding his proposed reforms, he said: "There are many discussions being held with all of the parties. Many members of Labor speak to me privately and say they support me, but there is the atmosphere of de-legitimization."
Friedmann's interview comes on the heels of the latest attack by Judge (ret.) Mishael Cheshin, in which he compared the Justice Minister to a stampeding African elephant.
