The Bank of Israel, after backing changes in the structure of commercial bank fees, may oppose the new fee schedules because they are not uniform, making it difficult for account holders to compare fees.
Bank Supervisor Ronnie Khizkiyahu told Globes that the changes "are a good thing, and the public also wants this product." However, he added that "we found that the plans will become irrelevant under the new circumstances. I expect that the banks will build new fee plans that will be submitted to us for approval."
