Tourism Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich said Thursday that one of his ministry’s major goals for 2008 is to establish a casino in Eilat. The casino would increase tourist revenues in the city, he said.
If the ministry succeeds in building a casino in Eilat, he said, it would consider building casinos in other southern cities as well. Aharonovich mentioned Yeroham and Mitzpe Ramon as possible locations of new casinos, along with the Dead Sea area.
