Israel Police and the General Security Service (Shin Bet) foiled a set of planned terrorist attacks on Israel, according to information released for publication today by security sources.

Four residents of the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Jebl Mukaber were arraigned in the Jerusalem District Court on Thursday on charges of murder and and conspiracy to carry out terrorist attacks in Israel.

The four were arrested two weeks ago for allegedly murdering another resident of east Jerusalem who they suspected was collaborating with Israel. Police say the four men were originally planning to steal money from their victim in order to set up a Jerusalem-based terror cell.
