There may soon be French electric cars traveling throughout Israel, if plans by the Renault SA car maker come to fruition.

Company spokeswoman Rochelle Chimenes announced this week that Renault is considering building a plant in Israel to produce electric cars together with Israeli high-tech "green" entrepreneur Shai Agassi and his partner Iden Ofer.
