(IsraelNN.com) Outgoing Accountant General Dr. Yaron Zelicha told the Knesset Economic Affairs Committee that the government's suggestion to slap a toll on a new section of Highway 6 (Kvish 6) "crossed a red line." The new section is to open in the next two weeks and extend the southern part of the highway to Kiryat Gat.

Highway 6 is a toll road, but the new section was built by the government, which is paying the Highway 6 operators to maintain the road and wants to charge motorists two shekels for using the new section.
