'IDF Chief of Staff Said IDF Full of Politicians'
(IsraelNN.com) Senior Reserve Officer Yanush Ben-Gal told a military conference Wednesday that IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi told him "there is no one to work with in the IDF because everyone is a politician." He added that senior officers who work in the office of the Prime Minister are more likely to be promoted.
Ben-Gal sharply criticized the technological revolution in the IDF, which former IDF Chief of Staff Dan Halutz promoted in a program to replace the traditional foot soldiers as much as possible.
