Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit warned on Monday that Arab countries may not attend the planned Annapolis, Maryland conference if it is not certain that it will bring about a new Arab state to be created within Israel's current borders.
"If the conference will achieve its objective, all of us need to participate, but if not, I think Egypt and other Arab nations will weigh their participation," he said after meeting with Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
